Taiwan spend $19billion on defence of their country 2024
Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen said Monday guard spending would arrive at a record 606.8 billion Taiwan dollars ($19 billion) in 2024, a show of the island's "assurance to guarantee public safety".
Tsai said in an explanation safeguard spending was "expected to arrive at 2.5 percent of the Gross domestic product". The proposed spending would be a 3.5 percent expansion from 2023's $586.3 billion Taiwan dollars, as per official information.
"Taiwan should keep on reinforcing its capacities to protect itself and exhibit its self-preservation assurance to guarantee public safety and interests, while looking for more global help," she said.
